The new U.S. presence for Spotwave will be presided over by Randy Borne, who has been appointed Spotwave's vice-president of strategic sales. Borne has been given the responsibility of expanding Spotwave's customer base and managing relations with current customers, which include major U.S. communications carriers.

"We've had strong early success in the U.S., with top-tier wireless carriers already signed up," Spotwave CEO Shane Young said in a statement. "Randy will be instrumental in leveraging these early successes and driving growth in the U.S."
