Company Establishes US Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia
OTTAWA, Canada, April 29 /CNW/ - Meriton Networks Inc. (www.meriton.com), developers
of the OADX (Optical Add/Drop Switch) for integrated wavelength switching and
transport services in the metro core, today announced that Craig A. Speak has
been appointed vice president of North American sales. Additionally, the Company
announced that it has established its U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Speak is responsible for all North American sales and service, and he reports
directly to Wes Biggs, president and chief executive officer of Meriton. Most
recently, Mr. Speak was the vice president and general manager of North American
sales for Tellabs Inc. (NASDAQ: TLAB; www.tellabs.com), a widely respected Fortune
500 company. During his 20-year career with Tellabs, Mr. Speak helped grow the
company from $35 million in annual revenue to more than $3 billion. Mr. Speak
held several key positions in telecommunication sales, sales management, marketing,
strategic planning and new business development.
