DragonWave Inc. a
leading global supplier of next-generation
wireless networks, today announced the expansion
of the AirPair™ product family with the addition
of the APX-104E and APX-108E to optimize their
TDM service offering and compliment their
Ethernet market leadership.
The enhanced APX platform allows AirPair to
provide superior T1 and E1 transport
capabilities enabling important carrier-grade
TDM functionality to address the service
provider’s transition from TDM to IP. The
AirPair platform can now deliver up to 120 DS1’s
or 90 E1’s providing remote CLI, SNMP and GUI
management, with complete T1/E1 statistics.
Using timing over packet, AirPair can meet
stringent G.823 jitter and wander requirements
demanded by mobile service providers. In
addition, the ultra-low latency AirPair and APX
solutions deliver the low delay required for the
delivery of cellular services.
“At DragonWave, we are committed to delivering
cost-effective, scaleable solutions” said Peter
Allen, President & CEO DragonWave Inc. " This
latest portfolio enhancement allows service
providers, such as cellular carriers to avoid
costly TDM leased lines, while meeting the
stringent requirements of their basestations,
and enabling a seamless evolution to Ethernet
transport for 3G networks”
DragonWave will showcase their new product at
TelecomNext (Booth #2063) taking place March

Las Vegas
