Meriton in deal with Fujitsu
Europe By Ottawa Business Journal Staff Fri, Feb 25, 2005 8:00 AM EST Ottawa's Meriton Networks has gained a foothold in Europe by forming a strategic partnership with Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Ltd. Under the deal, Fujitsu will market Meriton's networking gear in the European market. Meriton makes carrier-class optical metro and regional wavelength networking systems. "Europe is a key part of our strategy, and we're honoured to be working with such a respected leader as Fujitsu," says Meriton president Mike Gassewitz. "We look forward to furthering an already excellent relationship, and to delivering the most innovative, next-generation solutions for Fujitsu's customers." "Working with Meriton provides us with unique metro transmission and switching capabilities, and demonstrates key alignment with our customers' requirements. Being responsive to customers is the most important factor behind our continuing success," says Andy Stevenson, general manager of Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe.
