CHANTRY NETWORKS WINS PRESTIGIOUS “FORUM FAVOURITE” AWARD

AT CANADIAN IT FINANCING FORUM

--Chantry Continues to Receive Accolades from Investment and Technology Communities--

BOSTON & TORONTO—May 29, 2003—Chantry Networks, the provider of the world’s first routed wireless LAN solution, received the prestigious “Forum Favourite” award at the recent Canadian IT Financing Forum, the premiere Canadian venture capital showcase.  Chantry Networks’ CEO Peter N. Vicars presented the company’s business plan and technology overview to more than 300 delegates, including 94 venture capital investors.  Chantry’s “Forum Favourite” award marks the second investor’s award bestowed on Chantry since March; in late March, Chantry received the VentureFair “Investor’s Choice” Award.

“Chantry Networks combines an innovative approach to wireless technology with a proven management team and solid business plan,” said Dave Thomas, an Associate with CanadaIT Ventures.  “Chantry’s launch of BeaconWorks was extremely successful and they are generating significant ‘buzz’ in the industry.  The delegates voting for Chantry as one of the recipients for this year’s ‘Forum Favourite’ Award is further evidence that they are poised to be a break-out player in the wireless market.”

The Canadian IT Financing Forum was held May 21 –22, 2003 in downtown Toronto.  The Forum matches North American corporate and venture capital investors with serious entrepreneurs looking to build world-class technology companies.  The Forum is one of the most respected resources for North American investors who seek to recognize, gain exposure to, and facilitate partnerships with the best and most promising IT entrepreneurs and companies coming out of Canada.

“The Canadian venture capital community is incredibly forward-thinking and savvy about the technology industry in general,” said Peter N. Vicars, CEO, Chantry Networks.  “Chantry Networks is extremely pleased to be recognized by the delegates as a company to watch.  The ‘Forum Favourite’ Award further validates what we’ve heard from many sources – that our technology will revolutionize large-scale wireless access.”

In addition to receiving both the Forum’s “Forum Favourite” Award and VentureFair’s “Investor’s Choice” Award, Chantry Networks was named a finalist at last month’s Networld+Interop trade show for the “Best of Interop” awards in the Wireless category.

Chantry’s BeaconWorks, launched on April 21, 2003, has received positive coverage in many media outlets, including 802.11Planet, The Boston Globe, Communications Design, Computerworld, EE Times, eWeek, InformationWeek, InfoWorld, Mass High Tech, Network World, PlanetAnalog.com and Unstrung.
