CHANTRY NETWORKS’ CO-FOUNDER TO DISCUSS INDUSTRY REVOLUTION WITH WIRELESS CONNECTIONS 2003 ATTENDEES

-- Brian Collie to Discuss the Future of Broadband Wireless --

BOSTON—May 27, 2003—Chantry Networks, the provider of the world’s first routed wireless LAN solution, is presenting at this week’s Wireless Connections 2003 conference.  Chantry’s co-founder and executive vice president for product operations, Brian Collie, will discuss broadband wireless from both a market and technology perspective, with a special emphasis on what lays ahead for one of the most exciting technology markets today.

“The agenda at Wireless Connections 2003 reflects the most timely and challenging issues in today's wireless Web and mobile Internet markets,” said Barb Richardson, chair of Wireless Connections 2003.  “Brian Collie’s unique perspective and industry expertise makes him a valuable contributor to the event and one of the key senior level speakers attendees are coming to see.”

The “Data in the Air” panel at the Wireless Connections 2003 event is part of the Technology Trends and innovations Track and will occur on Thursday, May 29, 2003.

“Global competition and a difficult economic environment are driving a tsunami of interest in broadband wireless,” said Collie.  “Wireless vendors are producing a wealth of product options.  IT professionals need to understand the importance of mobility and roaming to their organization’s success, what their technology options are and how they can move forward with those options.”

As one of Chantry’s co-founders, Collie draws upon his more than twenty years in the telecommunications and networking industry to oversee the company’s engineering and manufacturing operations center in Toronto. Prior to founding Chantry, Collie held management roles at Nortel Networks’ Wireless LAN & PAN Division and Nortel’s Internet Solutions Division.  Collie was a senior member of Bay Networks’ merger and acquisition team, and he has held senior positions with Motorola’s Internet and Data Networking Group and Bell Canada’s Computer Communication Group (CCG).
