BOSTON—June 16, 2003—Peter N. Vicars, CEO of Chantry Networks, the provider of the world’s first routed wireless LAN solution, will detail recent innovations in wireless LAN technologies tomorrow at the TiE Wireless Technology Business Forum (WTBF) in Burlington, MA.

“Peter Vicars is a leading visionary in the WLAN industry,” said Vinit Nijhawan, CEO of Taral Networks and member of the executive committee for the WTBF.   “Peter will discuss the need for WLAN infrastructure in enterprises and Chantry’s unique product approach in meeting this need.”

WTBF is a Special Interest Group (SIG) within TiE-Boston, a not-for-profit Massachusetts organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship.  WTBF gathers monthly and provides a forum for Boston-area entrepreneurs, technology industry analysts and venture capitalists to get a glimpse of “hot” companies and to expand knowledge of new approaches to technology.

The event is by invitation only, taking place at 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 17th in Burlington. MA.  For more information on TiE-Boston WTBF, please contact: tieadmin@tie-atlantic.org

Vicars brings to Chantry Networks a highly successful global track record and over 35 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Chantry, he served as president and CEO of Cayman Systems, Inc., where he led the company from its position as a fringe player to become a leader in the broadband access market. While at Cayman, Vicars was instrumental in acquiring strategic partners and building business relationships, helping the company forge new contracts with major carriers such as Verizon and AT&T and successfully merging the company with Netopia.
