Jaswinder Kaur, Venture Partner

Jaswinder Kaur has business experience in a range of technology companies, ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations. She is the Executive Director of the India Venture Capital Association and is based in New Delhi, India.
Jaswinder was a founding Partner in Venture Coaches.
Before joining Venture Coaches, Jaswinder held several positions in product management, marketing and investor relations in technology related businesses. At the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, she was responsible for facilitating international strategic alliances for Canadian high-tech start-ups -- ranging from promoting technology R&D partnerships to raising capital through global private equity markets.
Jaswinder also has technology experience at Canadian high-tech companies, including Nortel Networks, Cambrian Systems (which was acquired by Nortel Networks) and CrossKeys Systems Corporation (the first IPO company of the Newbridge Corporate Venture Program). During that time, she held business development positions, primarily in product management and marketing communications. Jaswinder is a Charter Member of TiE (Ottawa) and a part-time professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Ottawa and Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
As a founding Partner of Venture Coaches, Jaswinder shared her experience and understanding of marketing and business development issues to build successful companies. As a Venture Partner for the Canadian Cleantech Fund, Jaswinder will apply her knowledge of the important Indian market in support of portfolio companies.
Jaswinder obtained a B.A. (Honours) from Carleton University in 1989 and an M.B.A. from the University of Ottawa in 1995.
