Venture Coaches created the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) program to attract and support experienced technology entrepreneurs to work closely with the firm while developing their own business concepts. During the program, which typically lasts up to six months, the EIR is a member of the Venture Coaches team, both participating in the venture capital activity of the firm, as well as working with Venture Coaches to plan their next entrepreneurial adventure.
Through this program, Venture Coaches offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to work closely with the firm in the process of identifying, evaluating, and funding new investment ventures. The EIR program also enables entrepreneurs to optimize their own search for the next start-up, which may be a new company that the EIR forms during their tenure at Venture Coaches, or a company they come across while undertaking research.
The EIR program fits well into the Venture Coaches strategy of a total team approach to creating innovative companies. By providing continued support and mentorship, the EIR is an excellent platform for seasoned, experienced talent to launch new ventures.
