Nick Parker (Business Advisory, Cleantech Sector).  As Chairman of the Cleantech Group LLC and a very early proponent of the Cleantech sector as an economic sector, Nick and his team globalized the term Cleantech.  Nick has 15 years of experience starting and investing venture funds worldwide through limited partnerships, family offices, corporate funds and endowments.  In the 1990’s, he founded, built and sold a leading transatlantic environmental finance advisory and strategy firm.  He served as an advisor to multilateral agencies such as the World Business Council on Sustainable Development and the International Finance Corporation (World Bank).  Through his experience, and his very broad sector network, Nick supports the Canadian Cleantech Fund with a comprehensive foundation in the Cleantech sector.

Bryan Cook (Business Advisory, Energy Technology). Bryan Cook is a senior member of the energy and environmental technology leadership in Canada. A founding member of Environment Canada, he was for sixteen years the Director General of energy science and technology for Natural Resources Canada and for another nine directed the government’s premier energy S&T laboratories and contracted programs of the CANMET Energy Technology Centre. From these positions Bryan has played a key mentorship role in advancing energy and environmental technologies. Bryan provides Venture Coaches with the technical diligence and partnership opportunities available from his extensive access to innovation networks in Canada and internationally.

Paul Koch (Business Advisory, Community and Municipal relations).  Paul Koch is an ex IBM Canada executive that has been working with community sustainability groups since 1992.  He served as the Chair of the Ottawa Environmental Advisory committee from 2001 to 2006, and in 2006 became chair of the Ottawa Sustainability Fund.  Paul works with Venture Coaches to provide synergy between community and municipal initiatives and the technologies that portfolio companies are bringing to market.

William Sinclair (Business Advisory, Technology Start-up), a co-founder of JDS Optics (now JDS Uniphase) has been involved in the telecommunications industry for more than 25 years and is well recognized as a leading photonics expert.
